Supporting Our Ag Indstry

Our Regional Development Managers have been to a number of events to present and engage with our local agribusiness groups and industries.

Connecting with regional ag industry groups


The team at RDA AHFKI continues to engage with our regional agriculture sector across the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island.


Agriculture is the largest employer in our region (3,906 Full Time Equivalents in 2020-21), rating as our most important industry in terms of value added ($659.2m in 2020-21) and exports ($842.5m in 2020-21).*

RDA has presented to agriculture industry meetings held by two of our councils in recent months:

  • Alexandrina Council’s inaugural Agribusiness Conversation

  • Mount Barker District Council’s Agribusiness Networking Event

 These events aimed to:

  • update participants on regional Agribusiness projects;
  • provide an opportunity to share ideas and hear about economic growth in the Agribusiness sector;
  • provide feedback and ideas on Council’s role to better support the sector;
  • encourage connection and networking within the agricultural sector.
