On-farm field day – Cudlee Creek
You’re invited to a free on-farm field day at Cudlee Creek, where weed control expert Russel Troon from Environmental Contracting Services will introduce a variety of approaches for managing woody weeds in various environments—bushland, pastures, dams, and watercourses.
Additionally, Brett Stevens from Clearpath Vegetation Solutions will showcase the powerful Positrack Mulcher (RT120 ASV Positrack) in action, particularly on steep slopes.
What you’ll learn:
- Effective control methods for Broom, Gorse, and Blackberry using various herbicides.
- Integrated Weed Management strategies
- The importance of planning and timing for weed control
- Techniques including mulching, long line spraying, backpack spraying, cut and swab, and manual control
- Key considerations for chemical safety and personal protection
