You’re invited to Adelaide Hills Tourism’s next ‘Game Changers’ panel and industry function featuring guests with a range of heritage and cultural tourism backgrounds.

Industry panellists and interpretation expert Emeritus Professor Jane James will discuss storytelling as part of the visitor experience to create the personal and emotional connections that make memorable moments. In an era when visitors are inundated with content and information, it is more important than ever to tell the stories and tell them well.

AHT is looking forward to a great discussion with panellists Paul Rees (History Trust of SA – Director of National Motor Museum, Bay to Birdwood and SA Maritime Museum), Renee Jeffrey (Business Development Manager Corporate & Tourism at Penfolds including Magill Estate) and Ivan Tiwu Copley (Peramangk/Kaurna man, Aboriginal Consultant and Cultural Broker).

The discussion will be led by Rilka Warbanoff, Board member of Adelaide Hills Tourism, radio personality and owner of Rilka’s Kitchen in Hahndorf. After the panel discussion, Emeritus Professor Jane James will share insights on when and why a story is worth telling, how to find the best stories for different types of visitors, and the foolproof ‘ingredients’ to a good story.
