A new major not-for-profit regional art gallery has been proposed for Kangaroo Island. The gallery will put Kangaroo Island art on the world stage, boost economy for the island, and enrich the local artists. The gallery will include exhibitions and tours, workshops and meeting areas, performance/film facilities, cafe and function area, outdoor areas for ambience and entertainment, and an environmental artwork unique to South Australia.
The committee is asking the Kangaroo Island community, island residents and off-island landowners for their opinion on the project. The proposed site is at Captain Morgan Park north of Kingscote.
To give feedback on the proposed project please complete the consultation survey, join one of the webinars through the month of August or visit one of the 4 pop-ups on the island.
