Meet our latest funding recipients
We’re delighted to officially announce the recipients of the Hills & Coast Business Grant 2024!
This is the 4th year we’ve delivered this key initiative, with this round again focusing on the growth and productivity of manufacturing businesses across the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula, and Kangaroo Island.
Funding that was bigger and better than ever
Thanks to the generosity of our corporate partners, Thomas Foods International and Fleurieu Milk Company, we more than doubled our 2024 funding pool from $40,000 to $85,000. In turn, this also allowed us to expand the maximum grants for individual businesses from $10,000 to $20,000 in matched funding, reflecting our commitment to promoting local economic growth.
Once again, we received a large number of high-quality applications, showcasing the initiative, innovation and ambition of our local businesses. Our successful applicants will now invest in productivity projects with a combined value of more than $200,000.
Meet our 2024 grant recipients
We’re pleased to introduce our successful applicants:
- Peninsula Providore Farm – Alexandrina Council
- Inavogue – Mount Barker District Council
- Tuckaway Engineering – Mount Barker District Council
- Kauppila Pty Ltd – Kangaroo Island Council
- Wrapping Hood – Kangaroo Island Council
- Emu Ridge Eucalyptus – Kangaroo Island Council
- The Garden Farmers – City of Onkaparinga (McLaren Vale Preservation District)
These businesses will use the grant funding for a wide variety of projects to drive productivity and growth, including:
- Installing larger production tanks and filtration systems.
- Enhancing dust extraction and increasing productivity of machinery.
- Acquiring production line equipment.
- Delivering more efficient modular housing.
- Improving workshop heating and lighting to extend productive work hours.
- Purchasing bottling equipment.
- Upsizing processing (juicing) equipment.
