Compulsory food safety management tools
From 08 December 2023, FSANZ (Food Safety Australia New Zealand) requires all Category 1 & 2 food businesses to have an accredited food safety supervisor available to oversee day-to-day food handling operations
The supervision of food handler tool requires businesses to appoint a qualified food safety supervisor who is available to oversee day to day food handling operations, help food handlers to handle food safety, and make sure food risk is managed.
To help food businesses in our region comply, we’re supporting Quality College to provide one day workshops for food businesses to obtain their Food Safety Supervisor certification.
Participants will need a USI (Unique Student Identifier – create one here if you do not currently have one) prior to enrolment. Once applications are received, you will be invoiced $150, payable prior to the workshop.
A workplace observation will also be required across 3 dates of everyday food handling tasks. This can be done by your business prior to the event once your enrolment fee has been processed.
