Events & Communications Assistant

0.6 FTE | 1 Year Contract (possibility of extension)
Based in Strathalbyn – travel required


We’re looking for an experienced Events & Communications Assistant to join our team. The role spans three core areas:

Key responsibilities

  • Events – End-to-end support across venue bookings, supplier and speaker coordination, ticketing, catering, logistics, and post-event follow-up.
  • Communications – Content creation and communications planning and scheduling, working alongside our Communications and Marketing Officer.
  • Administration – General office and administrative support.

About you

You’ll bring:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in digital marketing, communications and/or events
  • Confidence with Microsoft Office, Canva, Jotform and MailChimp
  • CRM experience
  • A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (reimbursed for work travel)
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Experience with AI tools is a bonus, as is willingness to occasionally work outside business hours for events.
