Career Development
Our Aim
Provide career, employment and training Services to assist individuals access:
- Career and training information and to identify career and training pathways and options to make clear and informed decisions maximising an individuals chances of obtaining employment.
- Skills recognition and assistance with industry training in skill shortage areas will also be provided focusing on education and post school qualifications relevant to the individuals needs in obtaining employment; and
- Quality self marketing tools training in the areas of interview skills, resumes and job applications
Our Services
- Identification of strengths, interests and potential career pathways.
- Connection to training opportunities and, in appropriate circumstances, funding of training.
- Assistance with understanding the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process (ie using your life and work experiences to short-cut the training process and gain qualifications quicker).
- Production of resumes, job applications and responses to job & person specifications for eligible people.
- Provision of information about local industries and the local job market.
- Engagement with industry to determine training and workforce development priorities.
